He then founded and led Audiens, a customer data platform, further deepening his expertise in data-driven ecosystems.<\/em><\/p><p><em>Today, he leads Trustfull, an AI-powered technology platform designed to combat digital fraud &#8211; a threat that has become systemic in the modern financial landscape. Venture after venture, Maras continues to position himself where markets are about to shift.<\/em><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>1 \u2013 What is the boldest decision you\u2019ve made in your career?<\/strong><\/p><p>Selling my first company, OneBip.<\/p><p>Everyone advised against it. But I felt the timing was right. I trusted my intuition.<\/p><p>We often talk about the difficulty of raising capital to build a company. What is discussed less is the complexity of deciding whether to accept an acquisition offer. Letting go can be just as demanding as building. In those moments, clarity and the ability to read the broader context are everything.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>2 \u2013 At 44, you already have four successful ventures behind you. What is the real secret?<\/strong><\/p><p>I\u2019ve always entered markets that were either under-regulated or in transition.<\/p><p>With OneBip, we were among the first to imagine mobile phone credit being used for digital payments. With Trustfull, the ambition is to make open-source intelligence \u2014 the digital signals people leave online \u2014 a standard for risk analysis.<\/p><p>Startups must dare to operate in the grey zones of the market. That\u2019s where opportunity lives. By the time large incumbents arrive, the real advantage is already gone.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>3 \u2013 How much do you rely on instinct?<\/strong><\/p><p>Completely.<\/p><p>I often work in markets where data doesn\u2019t yet exist and benchmarks are irrelevant. In those scenarios, instinct is not a luxury \u2014 it\u2019s a strategic tool. It allows you to build something before the numbers can validate it.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>4 \u2013 Do you ever feel discouraged?<\/strong><\/p><p>No \u2014 I can\u2019t afford to.<\/p><p>Entrepreneurship requires unwavering belief in your vision. Even in difficult moments, I look for the lesson. There is always one.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>5 \u2013 What has been the most rewarding moment of your journey?<\/strong><\/p><p>The exit of OneBip.<\/p><p>I had invested enormous effort into finding the right investors. Closing that chapter validated years of work and confirmed that the decision \u2014 despite the doubts around me \u2014 had been the right one.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>6 \u2013 Is there anything you would do differently in hindsight?<\/strong><\/p><p>Yes.<\/p><p>After selling OneBip, I immediately jumped into a new venture. I should have paused. Taken time to breathe and regenerate.<\/p><p>Inspiration needs space. And entrepreneurs rarely allow themselves that space.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>7 \u2013 What role do failures play in your path?<\/strong><\/p><p>They are fundamental.<\/p><p>I strongly believe in the \u201cfail fast\u201d approach: it\u2019s better to fail quickly and adjust direction than to stubbornly pursue the wrong idea for years. Speed of correction is a competitive advantage.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>8 \u2013 With Trustfull, you have raised over \u20ac6.5 million. How did you convince investors?<\/strong><\/p><p>By aligning with partners who share my long-term vision.<\/p><p>My track record certainly helped, but timing also played a crucial role. Digital fraud has become a critical issue \u2014 especially within financial services. When the market urgency matches your vision, capital follows.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>9 \u2013 Overselling: how far can an entrepreneur push it?<\/strong><\/p><p>\u201cFake it till you make it\u201d can be legitimate in the early stages, when prototypes are needed to test market appetite.<\/p><p>But there must always be a solid foundation: the actual ability to deliver what you promise. Without substance, reputation erodes quickly \u2014 and in this ecosystem, credibility is currency.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>10 \u2013 A preview: is there already another project in your mind?<\/strong><\/p><p>For now, my focus is entirely on Trustfull.
